Your Home from Home

With a nod to its original 400-year-old heritage, Forager Cottage offers a spacious and elegant living area divided into three distinct sections making it the perfect location for larger groups to come together under the same roof, whilst enjoying the benefits of defined living areas. Interior styled in soft blue grey hues, with delightful colour accents, stunning wood panelling and quirky accessories to catch the eye, Forager Cottage is the perfect blend of country charm and carefully curated style.

Living & Relaxing

The cosy snug is both relaxing and cosseting. Two snuggly sofas and an armchair provide the perfect spot to settle in front of the wood burner - an ideal retreat for reading a book, enjoying a glass of wine or after dinner port with friends. Separated by a beautiful crittall style doors wall divider, the snug flows into a second living area complete with a desk perfect for a spot of WFH and a quick check of those emails using our free Wi-Fi connections.

The beautiful sitting room is the gathering point for the whole group, providing plenty of seating for everyone to gather round and enjoy a film on the Smart TV and Sonos sound bar.

Dining & Eating

The stunning galley kitchen at Forager Cottage is the perfect spot to rustle up a family feast, or prepare a leisurely breakfast or brunch. Equipped with all the kitchen paraphernalia you could ever need, including an electric Stoves range cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer and the all-important Nespresso coffee machine for those caffeine aficionados in your group.

Carrera marble quartz worktops, charcoal painted cabinets and industrial-style lamps make this kitchen a place you’ll be more than happy to cook in – despite being on holiday!

And, when it comes to dining, enjoy seating your guests in the conservatory. There are gorgeous sheepskin covered chairs around the stunning zinc-topped trestle table providing the perfect setting for informal dinner parties, laid-back lunches and even Christmas dinner! On summer evenings, if you choose to eat indoors rather than al fresco on the sun deck, why not throw open the doors and let in that warm Devon breeze.

Bedroom 2

The ultimate flexible option, this room offers an expansive super-king-sized bed, that can also be split into two twin beds if required. There’s also space in this room for a cot should one be needed. Once again, there’s storage aplenty with a Loaf chest of drawers, and there’s a Smartt TV for those who love to watch TV in bed!

Bedroom 3

Super cosy, this room offers a snug 4ft 6” double bed and impressive views into the garden and across the Devonshire hills beyond.

Bedroom 4

Beloved by little ones, this unique room with its carpentry bunk beds offers the perfect sharing room and will have younger members of the group eager to hop into these fun beds day or night!

Bedrooms 2,3 and 4 all share a family bathroom with a stunning roll-top bath complete with overhead shower. You can enjoy complimentary White Company toiletries and fluffy towels warmed by the heated rails.

Outdoor Living

When it comes to outdoor living, Forager Cottage offers its guests plenty of choice.

Set into its own piece of the Devonshire hillside, there are breath-taking views to enjoy across the expansive surrounding countryside.

The magic begins as you step away from the conservatory onto the decked wooden walkway. Glittering with festoon lighting,  make your way to the deck area where a table and chairs affords guests the perfect spot for an al fresco meal, or a sundowner after a day at the beach whilst dogs and little ones burn off the last of the day’s energy in the surrounding lawned garden.

At the top of the hill sits the Hillside Hang Out – a delightfully styled summer house complete with comfy sofas, a drinks fridge, Wi-Fi connection and extensive views.

Worth noting…the garden at Forager Cottage has steep slopes and steps which may not be accessible for those with mobility restrictions, or children under the age of five. The garden is private but is not 100% dog-proof.
